BUILDING SERVICES responds to public and building industry requests regarding private property.  Functions include reviewing building permit applications and responsibility for the administration and issuance of the following:

• Building Permits
• Plumbing Permits
• Demolition Permits
• Sign Permits
• Board of Variance
• Business Licences

Our mandate/goal/objective is to provide residents, developers and the building industry with information and services to ensure that all proposed construction conforms to the requirements of the British Columbia Building Code, District of Squamish Zoning and Building Bylaws, Development Permits, Land Use Contracts and that structures are safe for their intended purpose.

Building Services is responsible for implementing District of Squamish Bylaws and Policies through regulation and review of residential and commercial building plans, processing of fees and security deposits, permit issuance and building inspection services for issued permits.
