The Human Resources Department works in collaboration with Department Heads and Managers to ensure the municipality achieves its mission and strategic goals through innovative and supportive people practices.  We provide leadership by promoting our people practices through the seven core values that define our municipal organization.

We are responsible for a variety of services including recruitment, compensation & benefits, employee motivation & retention, labour relations, policy development, training & development, and occupational health & safety.  One of the goals of the Human Resources Department of the District of Squamish is to attract, retain and motivate staff who share a commitment to our community and core values.
