The District of Squamish is pleased to announce that Mike Adams has joined Squamish Fire Rescue as Deputy Fire Chief.
Mr. Adams brings twenty years of fire service to the District of Squamish, most recently as Assistant Fire Chief, Operations and Logistics, for the District of North Vancouver. In his last position Adams helped manage the daily operations of five fire stations staffed by 25 career firefighters, and was Incident Commander at many large-scale emergencies. He is also accomplished in Emergency Management.

makes Mike a perfect fit with our dedicated team of fire rescue
professionals,” said Fire Chief Ray Saurette. “His enthusiasm for
progressive fire service delivery will be a great asset to the
department as we strive to provide the highest possible standard of
emergency service.”
Mr. Adams and his family have resided in Squamish for over eight years
and have been active members of the community. He will begin his role
as Deputy Fire Chief on November 2, 2009.
District of Squamish Fire Rescue is made up of two fire stations, five
full-time career firefighters and more than 60 volunteers proudly
protecting 16,000 people living in a primarily residential area of 40
square miles.
