This year’s fall Open Air Burning of dry garden debris runs from October 17 to 24, 2010. During this period, residents with a permit can burn their garden debris from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The fire should remain under one metre in diameter and be supervised by an adult at all times. Burning without a permit and burning during restricted times is illegal under the Fire Prevention Bylaw and violators may be subject to fines.
Burning permits cost $10 and can be purchased at Squamish Fire Rescue at 40439 Tantalus Road. For more information call 604.898.9666.
