The Highlands Way South and The Boulevard road reconstruction project is ready to resume construction. Work on this project commenced last fall and was shutdown over the winter months due to weather conditions. 

The District has retained a local engineering firm to oversee the construction work and provide daily site inspection. This will provide enhanced monitoring and expedite any decisions that will need to be made when construction resumes.  The District met with the contractor last week and reviewed the project schedule and the work plan, including improved lighting, wider lanes and a bicycle path. 

Work is scheduled to restart on March 8th and is expected to be complete by May 31, 2010.  Please note that some work, such as paving, is weather dependent and may result in an extension of these time lines if we experience prolonged periods of consistent rain.
