Low Water Pressure Throughout Squamish

Jul 08th '10

Due to Electronic Breakdown

In the late afternoon at approximately 4:00 p.m. multiple areas of Squamish experienced low water pressure for approximately one hour. An electronic failure occurred giving a water reservoir a false reading of being full. The District of Squamish utility crews were immediately able to diagnose the problem and quickly fixed the situation. Once fixed it took some time for the reservoir to refill and restore the system.

The District would like to thank the public for their patience during this time and also to thank the District of Squamish Utility crew and Contractors who worked into the middle of the night ensuring that the District’s water system was properly restored.

The District is also reminding residents that Phase 3 of our Water Conservation Plan is in effect.
