Mamquam Road Watermain Replacement Project

Sep 27th '11

The District of Squamish is completing a watermain replacement project on Mamquam Road between Paco Road and the Mashiter Creek.

The project involves the installation of a new 150 mm (6”) watermain within the north shoulder area of the road.

The work is scheduled to commence this week and is anticipated to be completed by mid-October.  Please note that it may be necessary to reduce the travel lane widths within this area during the daily construction activities.  Please be diligent and careful when travelling through this area during construction to ensure the safety of both pedestrians and construction staff.

For those local to the construction, under the terms of the construction contract the contractor is required to provide access to your property.  However, you can also expect the usual construction activities associated with a major infrastructure project:  traffic impacts, noise, and, dust.

As noted above, we will endeavour to minimize the construction impact to your daily routine.  If you have any questions regarding this project please do not hesitate to contact our Capital Projects Engineer Greig Garland, P.Eng. at 604-815-6874 or by email at ggarland [at] squamish [dot] ca.
