Sign Permits

Sign Permits are approved by the building section of the Community Development Department. Through the sign permit approval process, the District of Squamish can ensure that new signs are placed in a proper location and erected in a safe manner.

Do your signs comply with the District of Squamish Sign Regulation Bylaw?

Avoid common offences: obtain a sign permit before installing exterior signs; do not place signs on rooftops or balconies, do not install prohibited signs, for example: chasing border signs, electronic message boards, billboards, or off site signage.

Contact the Community Development Department to confirm permit requirements before installing any exterior signs.
