Depending on the type of business you are operating in Squamish, you may require other permits or licences that are not regulated by the District of Squamish. Examples may include Health Department or Motor Carrier Branch approvals.

Business Licence

The District of Squamish requires every person carrying on, maintaining, owning or operating within the Municipality any profession, business, trade or occupation, to hold a valid Business Licence.

The Business Licence must be visibly displayed on the premises. Licence holders operating a mobile business must carry the licence with them while working in Squamish. Licences are valid to the end of each calendar year.

BizPaL Online Business Permits and Licences

BizPaL is a web-based service that allows business clients to easily generate a customized list of the permits and licences they require from three levels of government - local, provincial and federal.

This service is the result of strong collaboration between the Government of Canada and participating provincial/territorial, regional, and municipal governments.

Dog licences can be purchased at Municipal Hall 604.815.5010 or from Animal Control at 604.815.6866.
