Permits
On this page:
The Community Services Department can help ensure you have the necessary permits in place for any signage or development projects.
Sign Permits
Sign Permits are approved by the building section of the Community Development Department. Through the sign permit approval process, the District of Squamish can ensure that new signs are placed in a proper location and erected in a safe manner.
The District of Squamish provides a guide with information on the approval process, permitted signs, Sign Permit Application submission requirements and Sign Permit Fees. For more information contact the Community Services Department at 604.815.5011.
Development Permits
A Development Permit is necessary when applying to rezone property or when proposing to subdivide or develop property in a designated development permit area in the District of Squamish Official Community Plan.
To find out if your property is within a designated development permit area, refer to the Official Community Plan or contact the Planning at 604.815.5002.
