Water Conservation
The District of Squamish has the following 3-Phase Water Conservation Plan to ensure that:
- the District does not exceed its licensed amount of water taken from the Mashiter Creek, Stawamus River and Powerhouse Springs; and
- the Department of Fisheries’ minimum stipulated water flow requirements are respected.
Phase 1
- Even numbered street addresses – lawn watering any time on even numbered days of the month.
- Odd numbered street addresses – lawn watering any time on odd numbered days of the month.
And if further conservation measures are necessary:
Phase 2
- Even numbered street addresses – lawn watering any time on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
- Odd numbered street addresses – lawn watering any time on Thursdays and Sundays.
