Squamish Seniors
New Squamish Seniors Centre
The vision of a Squamish Seniors’ Activity Centre has now become a reality with a spectacular 10,000 square foot facility located on the lower floor in the Rockcliff building.
Rockcliff at Eaglewind is set amidst legendary scenery, meandering walkways and beautiful landscaping. The 10,000 square foot activity centre will bring seniors together, giving them a place to socialize and share experiences, and making them part of a supportive community.
The new activity centre will be a state-of-the-art facility that will be the focal point to deliver arts, education, and recreational programs to local seniors. It will be a meeting place providing social, recreation, health, fitness and special interest activities to help seniors remain active and vital.
The Activity Centre is set to open in the Spring of 2009. The goal is to match the $362,000 funds already committed from the District of Squamish to furnish the inside of the Activity Centre.
