Spring Clean Squamish!

The District of Squamish Invites All Residents to
Register Now and Take Part in PITCH-IN Week April 23rd to 30th, 2012

Squamish is encouraging everyone to “pitch in” and help clean up the District during national PITCH-IN Week April 23rd to 30th, 2012.  Squamish residents are invited to take part in activities that clean up, restore and/or preserve the environment and help to benefit and enhance the community.  Many events are scheduled once again this year, including the Fastest Picker Contest, Community Clean up Days, a 20 Minute Squamish Makeover and the Re-Use-It Fair.

“Every year Squamish residents and businesses promote respect for our natural environment by cleaning up litter and other garbage from urban, rural and wilderness areas,” said Mayor Rob Kirkham. “It’s about helping our community develop and grow in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner.”
