BC Hydro notification of Daisy Lake Dam discharge

December 9, 2014, 3 p.m. - BC Hydro has issued a Spill Notification regarding a discharge of higher volumes of water from the Daisy Lake Dam.

Rapid increases in water levels in the next 24 hours are possible. Residents downstream of Daisy Lake Dam, including those in Paradise Valley, should use additional caution around rivers and streams, and be aware that levels may increase quickly and without warning.

The District of Squamish continues to monitor the situation and liaise with BC Hydro, taking any precautionary measures necessary. We will continue to post new information as it becomes available.
