“We want to hear from a large number of residents and business owners throughout this brand enhancement process,” says District of Squamish Mayor Rob Kirkham. “We encourage everyone to provide their input to ensure the outcome of this project represents our community in the best possible way.”

One other aspect of this process is the formation of a Brand Development Committee, which will meet regularly over nine weeks to help steer the process. The Committee has received significant interest from the community with over 30 residents applying for six available ‘citizen’ seats. The six will join representatives from the Squamish Chamber of Commerce, Tourism Squamish, Downtown Squamish Business Association, Squamish Nation, and the District of Squamish. The Brand Development Committee will be announced in the New Year.
