The 2014-2016 Service Plan articulates how the District of Squamish Delivers Outstanding Service though excellence in local governance.
The plan builds upon the Service Squamish Initiative and outlines the next phase of the plan based on the community's Vision and the Districts Mission and Organizational Values.
The Service Squamish Initiative is about envisioning, defining, and achieving excellence in local governance for our residents, investors, Council, and employees. It is about sustainable governance through which we structure and lead an organization that enhances Squamish the community, Squamish the place, Squamish the economy, and Squamish the corporation.
The Service Squamish Initiative was adopted in 2010 and was considered and conceptualized based on the District’s Corporate Mission Statement (2004):
Our mission is to protect and enhance the livability and
sustainability of our community, and to embrace and benefit
from the opportunities before us. We will be successful in
